?No Regrets?, the last HARDCORE SUPERSTAR album that I heard before this new CD was released in 2003 and to me, it wasn?t as good as the other ones before. Moreover, it seems like it didn?t get promoted very well. Then, ?Wild Boys?, the anthemic single that was released in July 2005 showed us that the band emphasized their 80s hair/glam metal influences and sounded quite promising. So now here is the new album (on Bad Reputation records in France) and we can only recognize that HARDCORE SUPERSTAR is keeping up with the 80s sleaze rock influences. The opening track ?Kick On The Upperclass?,?She?s Offbeat?, ?Simple Man? or ?Cry Your Eyes Out? are probably ones of the heavier songs the band ever released and you?ll get catchy and loud choruses on songs like ?We Don?t Celebrate Sundays? or ?Hateful?. Like the best bands in this style, HARDCORE SUPERSTAR manages to sound heavy and still rock?n?roll at the same time and that?s their force. It's good to see them back in such a good shape!/laurent.
