These guys sure aren't newcomers: Formed by Gary Lammin (ex-COCK SPARRER), you'll also find Martin Stacey (ex-CHELSEA) and Keith Boyce (HEAVY METAL KIDS) in the BERMONSEY JOYRIDERS. Are you expecting 77' punk rock? Well this would be too easy and this isn't really what you'll get since the band plays a very personal kind of bluesy punk rock'n'roll with amazing slide guitar and NEW YORK DOLLS style riffs.
This adventurous mix can appear as a bit surprising at first but it shouldn't shock anybody knowing a bit about blues/rock history.
10 songs that will make you sing along and dance finger in the air with a beer in your other hand. This album was recorded in 12 hours (the old-school way!) and if you like The DOLLS, The STONES and blues then you will fall for "All The Darkness", "The Cafe Racer", "Runnin' Riot" (the COCK SPARRER song) among others. "Part Of My Problem" is a tribute to Johnny Thunders and you can easily imagine Johnny jammin' to this song in a New Orleans bar or at Paris' Gibus club back in the day.
If there was a crazy imaginary place just between London and New York City linking both with the Mississippi river, then this is where The BERMONDSEY JOYRIDERS would come from./Laurent.
