Following the 4 song EP "She's A Pistol", British sleaze punks The DERELLAS are back with this 12 song album on which you'll find 3 songs that previously were on the EP ("She's A Pistol","Everything Jaded" and their "You're So Vain" cover.)
You'll still find traces of the RAMONES and the SEX PISTOLS mixed to hard rock influences in the band's music. Think of BACKYARD BABIES or The JOYSTIX. New songs like "Looking For You" (which could have been on a WRATHCHILD UK album!) or "Freakshow" show that the band has now reached a higher level.
It's just a pity that the production hasn't changed much from the EP, this could have really made a difference. Don't get me wrong, it's not terrible but I can't help thinking that these songs deserve a better production. Anyway, I'm suite optimistic about the band's future since The Derellas seem to be like good wine and just get better and better with age. No future? I'm not so sure.../Laurent.
