An album cover painted by Dee Dee Ramone and Cheetah Chrome as a special guest. You'll easily guess that you won't hear emo metal on this CD! And you're right since this band started back in 1983!
Opening track "Horrible Life" has a bit of TURBONEGRO in it so this shows that FALSE ALARM is not only relying on the past even though they're showing their appreciation of good old glam punk rock'n'roll with a punked up version of "Vietamese Baby" (NEW YORK DOLLS.) Most of the songs are played in a total 77' chaotic street punk spirit with a bit of Johnny Thunders into it ("In My Mind").
A negative point on this CD is the production and more especially the difference of sound between tracks, I mean you almost fall of your chair when "Youth Gone mad" is starting, it's so loud compared to the song just before!... But still, you'll hear some cool punk rock'n'roll tunes on this album, songs like "No Choice" or "Devil Devil".
You like it old-school? Then look no further.../Laurent.
