Yes you're reading well: a new KEVIN K album yet!... The fun thing about it is that it was recorded on a 8 track recorder all live, the old-school way! Quite refreshing in those Pro-Tools days!
While « Hollywood » was all about life in California, "Palm Trees And Humidity" deals with Florida. On a musical level, you'll still get straight melodic pop punk rock'n'roll with good hook and no one will complain about it, well certainly not me! The verse guitar riff on "Detention Home" sounds more influenced by The STOOGES than The RAMONES though!
You'll also get quiter songs like a cool rock ballad with harmonica, "Tracks" as well as an acoustic song "Mr. Ruckus" and "Still Miss You" that has a bit of Bob Dylan feel. But hey! Kevin doesn't forget glam rock fans with "Lipstick Killers", a tribute song to the NEW YORK DOLLS!./Laurent.
