When you think about Ireland and rock music, the first names to come to mind are usually U2 and THIN LIZZY. We?re actually lucky that GLYDER got influenced by Phil Lynott and his friends. I mean, U2 is crap and they have influenced tons of other shitty bands like COLDPLAY while I don?t know too many bands with a big THIN LIZZY influence in their sound and songs. GLYDER is a young band but sound like they?ve been playing together for a long time. You can?t tell that these guys are only in their early 20s. This is energic, melodic and the production (by Chris Tsangarides ? THIN LIZZY, BLACK SABBATH, etc.) is perfect for such a 70s hard rock influenced band. Now let?s hope that a band like The DARKNESS invites them to go on tour with them. GLYDER truly deserves this. Get this album from the Bad Reputation website/Laurent.
