The bio of this californian band says : "make no mistake, this is not a glam band, this is not an eighties band, this is a band that takes the best of the seventies, eighties, and nineties and puts them together to make something new..." Here is a short interview with Jonnie.

Could you introduce the band ?

Jonnie McKayne, Lead vocals, Randy Frazee, Guitar, and Ricky Perdue Drums, we are using temporary bassists while we look for a permanent one and a keyboardist as well.

I''ve heard that you have a new cd out, could you tell us more about it ?

Its called SCREAMING AT DEAF EARS, its getting great reviews and selling very well. Its a dark heavy and catchy CD. You can buy it online at AMAZON.com or via Underground Records Mailorder.

L.A was very famous for its glam scene in the 80s, how is the situation today ?

I dunno I dont really consider us a Glam band, The LA scene isnt what it used to be but its getting better.

I saw on the pictures of your web site that one member wore a Subhumans T-shirt, do you listen to punk rock ?

Punk, Goth, Industrial, Metal, Blues, Techno, Dance, Jazz, Oldies, anything GOOD

Does the "pay to play" system still exists in L.A ? What do you think about that ?

Yes it does, It sucks, we dont do it anymore. I think we've proven ourselves, I mean how many more times do we have to sell out their clubs before they'll pay US or at least let us play for free? We play out of state mostly these days because the clubs treat bands right and the fans love you for coming out!

Do you have to work outside of the band ?

This band is a 24 hour a day 7 day a week career. We all do creative stuff outside of the band like painting, writing, learning new instruments etc. does that count?

If you could choose a band to play with, what band would you choose ?

GUTTERSLUTS... duh

If you' d have the power to change one thing in this world, what would it be ?

I'd make myself God, I think I could run things alot smoother.

What are your projects ? feel free to conclude, thanks.

Well we're auditioning bassists and keyboardists and we're just about all ready to start playing out live in the next month or so. we've got a ton of new songs for the next CD and a new stage show. We should be hitting Hollywood again hard in 2000 and we're planning on touring our asses off in support of this CD!
