UNDERCOVER SLUT look like they've been living all their life in the catacombs. You just have to look at them to realize that they're caught between the chaos of Y2K and the glamour of Paris. Veglam zine could not ignore an outrageous band from France ! O (vocals) tells us more about the band.

So, Can you introduce the band ? UNDERCOVER SLUT Y2K line-up is a motherfuckin' killer one ! The new lipstikk whorez are : Kunt (guitar), Lame (guitar), Mace (drums), 96 (bass) & myself O (voice.) We've been rehearsing together for about 6 months now, our new tracks are awesome, the best UCS songs so far : "My HIV Beauty Queen", "6AM & Dead", "Copycat Suicide" to name just a few are already classics !

Did the members of the band play in other bands before ? No. Nobody was famous before UCS ! Now, everybody's infamous ! People either love us or hate us. Nobody's in between ! The ones who actually hate us & talk shit about us are doing something great for our propaganda, giving us a bad reputation is great for us ! What doesn't break you makes you stronger too !

What have you released so far ? Not much ! 4 demos total, 2 old songs were released on 2 different compilation CDs in Amerikkka (along with East & West coast glam bands), 1 song on "Lipstikk Killerz" comp. CD from Lollypop mag., 1 promo-video for "Humiliation" available from Sublime Chaos ! in Australia. Right now, "Sadistic Sampler" (9-song CD) is available through our Paris address for 15 US dollars (well hidden cash only/including S&H), send 1 IRC for more info on that CD.

I couldn't come & see you in Paris when you played at Le Caveau, so can you tell me how an UNDERCOVER SLUT show is ? That show was our 2nd one ! It was VERY chaotic & euphoric both on stage & in the crowd. The place was fuckin' packed, people could hardly move, the mosh pit was fuckin' violent too, 2 girls were injured during our set (Veglam : tough guys should realize that a  mosh pit is not a ring !!!) That show was great, words are simply not strong enough to describe it ! You gotta be there next time to witness our vision of chaos !

You keep glamour evil since 1995. Nowadays, more & more bands mix glam influences with dark, industrial or goth music. Do you feel close to them ? Yes and no ! I feel what UCS is doing & trying to do right now is unique. I got my own voice, we have our own sound and vision. We're not trying to jump on any bandwagon. We're more leaders than followers. UCS music is not pure at all, it has been corrupted by our different musical tastes, I would say it's like AIDS infected blood.

Do you listen to various musical styles ? What bands have you liked recently ? Yes, I do listen to all kinds of music. Do I like everything I listen to ? No. Right now, I'm into 70s glam rock, mainly British. I also dig that American gangsta rap thing, the real hip hop, not the "white kidz wanna be niggaz from da hood" bullshit. Music  from horror movies soundtracks is way cool too !

How are lyrics important to you ? My lyrics are my therapy. Since I don't wanna spend my money on some "psychology bogus therapy", those lyrics are precious to me. It might sound very selfish, but what I'm doing in UCS is for myself, I'm not in this "business" to please anybody, if you love it, great, if you hate it, great too ! Lyrics will be printed on our debut CD's booklet, so check'em out & try to understand what they're all about !!!

What are your projects ? I'll be fucking around/promoting UCS in the U.S of Amerikkka from August 13th to September 10th Y2K, New York fuckin'city & Hollyweird Kalifornia.
