The EROTICS have released an awesome glitter street rock'n'roll album called "21st Century S.O.B" (Fastlane Rcords), so it was the right time to ask a few questions to Mike Trash (vocals.)

Can you introduce The Erotics? What did the band released?
We are: Mike Trash(vox, guitars), Jett Damage(Bass), Uzi(Guitars), and Mickey King(Drums), who's the newest member, replacing Eic Stathis. S.O.B. is our latest release.

Are you satisfied with "21st Century SOB"?
Yes. We haven't got one ounce of negative feedback, since it was released.

What is the reaction of the people in the US when they see "Son Of A Bitch" in the title of the record?
One U.S. News paper voted it as Best Album Title of the year.

Did you choose this title just to shock?
No. We wanted to do a modern day T-rex 20th Century Boy!

Your cover of "Public Enemy #1" is great, have you used it for a tribute album or just for this release?
It was orinally intented for a tribute album, but the market is overflowing with tribute albums, so we decided not to submit it!

One can feel some strong glam/punk/hard rock influences in your music. Are all the members into these musical styles? Do you listen to various styles?
Yes, some rockabilly as well.

I've heard that you recorded a cover of "Born In The USA" for a benefit to the family victims of the terrorist attacks of the WTC, can you tell us more?
Yes, I would never have thought that The Erotics would ever do a Springsteen song, but it turned out to be A Erotics song! It was intended to be released, but Springsteens management, threatened us with a lawsuit!

Do you think that the terrible situation the world is in at the moment will lead to more pain or do you still have faith in human beings?
I still have faith, NOT all of us are maniacs that use the name of GOD, to justify violent acts of terror!

Do you plan to come to Europe for a tour?
We would love to come to Europe!

What are your projects?
We started writing and recording new songs for or next album. It will probaly be released by the spring of 2002!
