These Finnish rock'n'rollers have put out an album called "Stranded in Rock'n'Roll" on their own label called Star Trash Records that is worth checking out. Could you give us a bit of PLASTIC TEARS history ? Anzi: Plastic Tears was formed in 1993. It recorded a CD single, helluva many demos and gigs, then it broke up in 1996! We reformed the band in 1997 when i came along. We made gigs and couple of demos and one single between '97 '98. Winter '98 and spring '99 we recorded our album "Stranded In Rock 'N' Roll". Then I put my own label (Star Trash Rec.) together and "Stranded In R'N'R "was released in winter 1999. You seem to be quite famous in Finland, I saw on your website that you have video clips, etc. Can you tell us more about that ? Anzi: Yeah!  The video is called "scratch up some action". There is energy and Action. It was shooted by one dude from the finnish TV channel MTV3. We shooted it in 2 hours. when it was time to cut it he told us that he couldn't do a job with us any more 'cos he is a jehova and the lyrics of the song was fighting against his religion, so we left that A*!!"#?E and our drummer Eco did the video cutting! in last february it was the most voted video of all history at local finnish TV channel called Moon TV!! Are you satisfied with your debut cd "Stranded In Rock'n'Roll" ? Would you change something if you could, or not ? Anzi: Well, we had a little bit problems at the start. We choose a wrong producer and stuff like that. That guy didn't got that what we were looking for. Finally we produced and mixed the whole record ourselves! Now it's an honest ass kickin' Plastic Tears record with that powerful beat Of 2000 Groove!! Of course i always think "why did i play that 'n that ?", "why didn't a play this thing! ",it's an honest record, almost everything was played in at a one shot and if somebody screwed often we left it into the record! Many times i think that those things that are played wrong are the the best things afterwards! Can you tell us more about your label Star Trash Records ? Anzi: I formed the label for this record 'cos no one couldn't offer a proper deal! and money stays in my pocket!!(Hah-hahh) I suppose that many people compare PLASTIC TEARS to HANOI ROCKS, don't they ? What do you think about that ? Anzi: Yeah! that's true, of course Hanoi is a great band, no doubt about it! Maybe that's why everybody compare us 'cos we're from the same country! Sometimes i think that many reviewers for example see our album cover and pull their own clues from the way we look! Those who have listened to our music, i can bet they will not compare us to Hanoi Rocks! I don't care about that kind of things anymore, we make music for ourselves and for the people, not for the asshole critics! There's a huge rock'n'roll/glam/punk scene in Northern Europe, how can you explain that ? Anzi: It's hard to say ! Rock has always been more here than a trendy music. there have always been many great rock bands as well! maybe we're not the trendy kind of people, we do music more for fun and that's what we really wanna do, we're not doing it for the money like followin' all new techno/trend kind of bullshit things you know? Imagine that you could play the show of your dreams, who would be the musicians ? Anzi: There are so many great artists that i'd like to have a show with! Well, hmm...maybe Alice Cooper on the vox and me and late Johnny Thunders on the guitars, i think would be a good combination ! If i start to list them all i'll be sitting here 'till tomorrow!??
