PETER BLAST "Explode" CD.
(Official Website)
Peter Blast is far from being a newcomer in the rock'n'roll world. Indeed, he's been playing for more than 25 years now and used to hang out with sonic seducers, doomed rock'n'rollers such as Stiv Bator and Johnny Thunders. This new album (out on Big Bang Entertainment/Sopro Music) is written and produced by Peter himself with the help of Johnny K and Chip Z'Nuff (ENUFF Z'NUFF.) It offers us good blues rock'n'roll songs from the gutter, sometimes more blues ("It's a Cruel World", "And Just for You Too"...) and other times more rock'n'roll ("As Sharp As A Knife", "Orange Sunshine", "Explode"...) Peter doesn't forget his spiritual fathers on this album since there's a cover of ROLLING STONES' "Paint It Black". Songs coming straight from the heart, a Johnny Thunders look and a guitar as his only weapon, Peter Blast doesn't need more to make you listen to his music. This is a real rock record that makes you remember that "the sad and the lonely are (still) the only ones with style".
