Following BACKYARD BABIES' and HELLACOPTERS' steps here is NASTY KIXX from Sweden. Even though they've been playing together since 1998, we haven't heard a lot about them and that's a real pity since the band plays good sleazy hard rock'n'roll with 70s influences (keyboards/piano...) The first song "Junkyard Scene" immediately brings the BACKYARD BABIES to mind but the rest of the album shows a more personal side of the band. After listening to this CD, you can only think that this is one more interesting band from Sweden (how many more do they have there?) but also that NASTY KIXX can probably even do better in the future! "Hometown Blues" ends up with HANOI ROCKS' "tragedy" in a quite energetic version so if you're into the Northern European rock'n'roll scene, you'll definitely find everything you need on this album.
