LOVE INJECTIONS '3 Sheets To The Wind' demo CD.
(Official Website)
It's good to hear from the Swedish INJECTIONS again! I already enjoyed their first effort because it mixed dirt and class like good old rock'n'roll is supposed to do, and now they're coming back with 7 new songs and a cool LORDS OF THE NEW CHURCH cover ("Black Girl/White Girl".) As soon as you listen to the first song, you can tell that The LOVE INJECTIONS still enjoy their rock'n'roll raw and that the ROLLING STONES influence is more and more apparent (especially on "Don't Stop" and "Time's Up".) If you dig bands like The SMALL FACES, CHEAP TRICK, early AEROSMITH and The DOGS D'AMOUR or if you're just sick of the nu-metal sound on the radio, then check this band out, this is real! I demand a real album now.

LOVE INJECTIONS 's/t' demo CD.
(Website)
Well, what can you expect from a band who mentions HANOI ROCKS and The NEW YORK DOLLS in the lyrics of the first song on their CD?... Only good, you're right! Hailing from Sweden (like most interesting bands nowadays!... yes, while the US is more concerned with hip-hop and nu-metal, rock'n'roll  seems to have found a home in Northern Europe), these four young rock'n'rollers (four boys and a girl) are together since the end of 2001. Some of them already rocked the country with their previous bands PLAN 9 and The JACKALS (two bands that you can read about on this website.) There are 7 songs on this demo CD in which you can find  various influences such as early ROLLING STONES ('Fix Me Up') and KISS ('Coming Home Again') and, of course HANOI ROCKS and The DOLLS...The vocals often remind me of Tyla (The DOGS D'AMOUR.) This DOGS D'AMOUR influence can also be found in the song 'Stand Your Ground' . On the last song 'More Than The Bottle', it seems like each member sings their  own part, which sounds quite good and reminds me of KISS again. Well, the LOVE INJECTIONS don't deny their influences but have managed to mix them up to offer a real rock'n'roll dose in 2002. I'm looking forward to the next fix.
