LETHAL INJECTION is not a typical glam band, first because its music has various influences that make them sound like a mix of WHITE ZOMBIE, NINE INCH NAILS, MANSON and DEPECHE MODE, and then because its members live in different countries (France/USA.) Here is an interview with R.S SAIDSO (vocals.)

What is the story of the band ?
Well, the story goes that I was called to come to Paris to work with another project, and I met the guitarist Kill  Jelly at this rehersal place that a lot of bands are in.. He had heard some of my demos and asked me to lay something down on some demos that he was working on... And things just seemed to click.

How do you manage to deal with the fact that some members live in France while the others live in the US ?
Well right now things work out ok, in some ways it's a benefit to use because we can cover more ground this way. But I am in Paris often to record and things like that, not that big of a deal right now.

There's no drummer on the promo cd. Is this a deliberate choice ?
Yeah, for the fact that we did all of the recording ourselves. Everything was recorded digitaly so using all electronic gear was the smart thing to do... Plus it insured us to get the best sound. But however when we record our first national release on a major label, we will have real drums, as well machines... All blending together to create our sound... And of course live we will have a drummer. But for now and the demos it was the way to go.

There is a strong electro influence in your music.
What are your influences ? My personal influences???
Well a lot of Billy Idol and Generation X ... Shit like that, that I don't think people would associate with this kinda music.. But I think that's what makes our sound stand out a little more, because we are not just influenced by the style that we play.

Can you tell us what are your lyrics about ? What kind of message would you like to convey ?
About? Depends on the song, but I can tell you about a song like PUSSY GRINDER - It's about a woman serial killer who rapes and murders young girls... How does that fancy you! There really isn't any message other then things aren't always what they seem..

What's the use of putting a "parental advisory" sticker on a promo cd ?
I had nothing to do with that. But if I had to say I guess it would be so anyone, no matter who, knows I say fucked up shit in the lyrics....

What bands have you liked recently ?
Not many at all, I really don't get down with much new shit, I think music has become quite boring really... But I do like Rachel Stamp, Ginger's new thing Silver Ginger Five, Backyard Babies last album Rocked too.....

Some say that techno music kills rock'n'roll, do you agree ?
Nope not at all I say that stupid people with narrow minds kill everything, because they can't see past what is put in there face!! Good music is good music period... I listen to everything as an equal. And if it's a good song then it's a good song no matter what the style.
