HOLLYWOOD PARTY 'Like A Tattoo' CD.
(website)

80s hair metal revivalists HOLLYWOOD PARTY are back with a full-length CD. The French band put a lot of effort into this first official release, they worked more on their songs since their first demo CD, this sounds more tight, the production is better as well as Rémy's vocals even though the accent still remains. AC/DC guitar riffs, 80s glam metal choruses and backing vocals and last but not least a big dose of fun is what you get with this CD which comes out in a nice colorful digipack with a comics cover in the style of the BRIDES OF DESTRUCTION's first album. While MOTLEY CRUE, AC/DC and KISS ghosts are haunting most tracks, songs like "Lookin' For Love" "Take It Or Leave It" reminds me more of POISON ("Flesh & Blood" era.) This album will undoubtedly please most 80s Sunset Strip scene fans, they'll even find some of their favourite lines in HOLLYWOOD PARTY's lyrics. On the other hand,  the PC music Police will probably make fun of such an album in 2005 but damn, they should just take a wig, a bottle of Jack and put spandex pants on to get the party started!... And don't forget to Play It Loud Motherf**kers!!!

HOLLYWOOD PARTY 'Back To L.A 'Demo CD.
(website)
When you think about it, it's funny how every band with the word 'Hollywood' in their name  are never located in California... No exception here since HOLLYWOOD PARTY is a French band. They are a fun band and you can see that at first sight, just four guys playing hard rock'n'roll influenced by the 80s hair metal scene because that's what they really enjoy to do.  They started as a cover band and decided to write their own songs not so long ago. This demo contains their first personal songs: 'Back To L.A' which reminds me of AC/DC because of its guitar riff and 'Pretty Junkie' and 'Girl' which are more MOTLEY CRUE influenced. The vocals are not bad even though the English is not the best. On the other hand, these songs deserve a better production. Anyway, HOLLYWOOD PARTY is a party band,a fun live act to see and the chorus of the song 'Girl' won't leave my mind...
