GLAMPIRE "Heavy Blessings" CD.
(Musesick. Website)

Wow! A new GLAMPIRE CD! It seems like the guy nas no time to waste and we won't complain about it. GLAMPIRE still has his own personal style, call it "Glambiant" or whatever but the various influences such as JANE'S ADDICTION, DEPECHE MODE or DAVID BOWIE can still be found in these 13 songs as well as the poppy catchy choruses, the heavy and funky guitars and groovy industrial  beats. The lyrics have always been important to GLAMPIRE and despise the sadness and desperation of the "modern" world in which we live, they keep on offering a positive note. Unfortunately I can't talk about the lay-out since this is a promo copy, but if you need something to dance to and something to make you think and feel less alone, this CD is for you. The world needs more Glampires.

GLAMPIRE "Drop Dead Gorgeous" CD.
(Musesick Website)
Before listening to GLAMPIRE's music, I could only like his intelligent discourse and his Perry Ferrell-like image. Now that I've listened to a few of his records, I can definitely say that GLAMPIRE is an original and creative artist, one can find all kind of influences in his music, from electro-goth-pop to glam rock, funk or jungle to name a few! Sure, there are some machines but the guitars still have an important role in the music and the use of the machines serve the emotional impact of the songs/vocals. "Drop Dead Gorgeous" requires a deep listening because it is very rich on a musical level, one can appreciate something new each time one puts the CD in the player. Nevertheless, it would be wrong to think that GLAMPIRE's music can only be enjoyed by a musician elite, on the contrary it keeps a strong pop aspect which definitely print the songs in the listener's mind. "Somewhere In Space" (by the way, there's an awesome video for this song available on the CD) or "New Free Radio Waves" are perfect examples to illustrate that. This intense album is full of emotion and sincerity and is the most innovative one I've been listening to this year. GLAMPIRE is unique and I urge you to get this record and read the brilliant lyrics.
