FUORI USO 'Hell is Better Than All'
(Toxic Records. Official Website)
The band says in their bio that they've been growing up listening to 80s hard rock and it's quite obvious as soon as "Big Shot Tokyo" starts. Heavy guitar riffs, big choruses and everything that you enjoyed in RATT, L.A GUNS or TUFF can be found here even though the production is different and the general sound heavier. The vocals sometimes remind me of melodic hard rock bands such as DOKKEN and SCORPIONS. The last song "No Rock Zone" shows that the band also knows how to keep rock'n'roll raw and when the CD stops, you realize that FUORI USO perfectly fits in the Italian scene among HOLLYWODD KILLERZ or BABY RUTH for instance. A video for "Dancin In My Fire" is also included on the CD as a bonus. All in all, this CD is more than ok even though it sounds a bit too heavy for me at times.
