Long hair, black leather, lipstick, cowboy hats, attitude and sleazy
rock'n'roll.. yeah it should remind you of the 80s/90s L.A glam metal
scene and that's what FILLMORE SLIM is all about. They're influenced by
bands such as FASTER PUSSYCAT and PRETTY BOY FLOYD and you can hear it
on this demo which contains 2 studio songs and a live one. The vocals
are particularly good on those songs, they really stand somewhere between
the two aformentioned bands. 'Star Quality' opens this demo with
style and a soft rock'n'roll boogie riff and 'Tragedy' gives you
a good kick in the ass. The sound of the live song ('After Hours')
is not the best but it is listenable and offers us an early POISON/SEX
PISTOLS riff and screams à la Taime Down. Well, this is just
too short, I want more!
