The EROTICS 'Rock N Roll Killing Machine'
(Official website)

7 new songs from The Erotics who are just back from their UK tour. The cover may be a little weird at first glance, looking like a B-movie poster or something but you'll get used to it after a while and don't worry the band still kicks ass...What can I say? It seems like The Erotics are like wine, the older they get, the better they are! The first song "Rock'n'Roll Killing Machine" is a killer 77 punk rock'n'roll song with a HANOI ROCKS influenced chorus, then the second one ("I Like It The Way You Hate Me") shows once again how talented this band is when it comes to find powerful catchy choruses. The EROTICS still play street sleaze rock'n'roll with influences such as MOTLEY CRUE (they covered "Public Enemy #1" on their first album) and the NEW YORK DOLLS and the song "Drink, Fight, and F*ck" is the perfect illustration of their style. This time, the trio offers us their own version of "I Wanna be Somebody" (WASP) as to remind us and Blackie how cool this band used to be. Mike Trash does a great job on vocals for this song. You'll even get a great bluesy ballad called "Only A Fool". So yeah, once again this is a must have. the only thing I don't really get is why they put a censored version of "Drink, Fight, and F*ck" (Drink, Fight, and ...), maybe just to show people who are not in the U.S how you can't say such a word in the land of the free?

The EROTICS 'All That Glitters Is Dead'
(Official website)
The EROTICS are back with a new album (notice the great title!), 12 new killer songs (including a new version of "Only Girl For Me"-formerly known as "Helen Keller"in which some cool backing vocals have been added.) I was waiting for this album quite impatiently and I'm not disappointed now that I've received it because the band stayed the same and even became better at writing songs; "Space Age Mafia" ,"Fast Cars & Porno Stars" , "Rocket To Nowhere" and "All That Glitters Is dead" are already hits in my book, this is sleazy glam punk at its best with the needed hard rock dose. Those catchy, hooky and heavy choruses won't leave your mind if you already sold your soul to glitter rock'n'roll and I'm sure you did since you're reading this. So what are you waiting for? Go and get this record now, this is just what you need.

The EROTICS '21st Century S.O.B.'
(Fastlane records)
Damn, this is really good! I had always heard good thing about The EROTICS and now I can only say that they're damn good. They are obviously influenced by The NEW YORK DOLLS but they have totally made that sound into something of their own adding a bit of 80s glam (by the way, there's a good punkish and quite personal version of "Public Enemy #1" on this album.) There's definitely a catchy feel here and songs like "Anxiety 101", "It's True", "I Wanna Be Your Bastard" or "Teenage Drag Queen"  (I luv this song and its title!!)are real glam punk hits !  One can even feel an HANOI ROCKS influence in a few songs. This is solid rock'n'roll rooted in early glam punk and mixed with punk rock and 80s hard rock, so I don't know if you could go on living your life without this record.
