The
EROTICS 'Rock N Roll Killing Machine' 7
new songs from The Erotics who are just back from their UK tour. The cover
may be a little weird at first glance, looking like a B-movie poster or
something but you'll get used to it after a while and don't worry the
band still kicks ass...What can I say? It seems like The Erotics are like
wine, the older they get, the better they are! The first song "Rock'n'Roll
Killing Machine" is a killer 77 punk rock'n'roll song with a HANOI
ROCKS influenced chorus, then the second one ("I Like It The Way
You Hate Me") shows once again how talented this band is when it
comes to find powerful catchy choruses. The EROTICS still play street
sleaze rock'n'roll with influences such as MOTLEY CRUE (they covered "Public
Enemy #1" on their first album) and the NEW YORK DOLLS and the song
"Drink, Fight, and F*ck" is the perfect illustration of their
style. This time, the trio offers us their own version of "I Wanna
be Somebody" (WASP) as to remind us and Blackie how cool this band
used to be. Mike Trash does a great job on vocals for this song. You'll
even get a great bluesy ballad called "Only A Fool". So yeah,
once again this is a must have. the only thing I don't really get is why
they put a censored version of "Drink, Fight, and F*ck" (Drink,
Fight, and ...), maybe just to show people who are not in the U.S how
you can't say such a word in the land of the free?
