Lesli (vocals) played for PRETTY BOY FLOYD, the cd has a cover
about life's dangerous pleasures that can appear quite cliché at
first, but don't expect to listen to a typical L.A party band here. No,
CITY GIRLS'BOYS are more than that, it's deeper, it's richer ; as
they say, they've seen enough "violence, drug addicts... and every other
form of low life". The band is Rock and there's a big chance that people
listening to various kinds of rock'n'roll can appreciate them. The BOYS
have this undeniable emotional force (both in the music and in the vocals)
that one could find in The LORDS OF THE NEW CHURCH and in The DOGS
D'AMOUR for instance. These six songs make you happy, make you sad and
you realize that this is what music is about, isn't it ? Believe me, a
song like "What I Want" is exactly the type of song that cannot leave
your mind, and the thing is that it is the case with most other songs.
Rockers, glammers, pop fans and punks have some new songs to sing along
and should give this cd a good reception. I can only recommend this strongly.
