This Swedish fanzine offers us a cool mix of bubblegum glam pop, grrl punk and personal articles. In this issue, the cherry dolls have interviewed BITCH ALERT from Finland, CANDY ASS(US) and The SCARECROWS(Sweden.) Besides the cool CD and book reviews, the zine does not only concentrate on music since you can find articles about the crazy Cherry summer of Cherryblister and Cherrytwister (AKA Cherrydolls), the city of Gothenburg, make-up tips and feminism (well, it is actually called "I Am Not A Feminist" and the point of view is closer to the riot grrl one than the average feminist one... I agree with many points in this article but saying "I don't even want an equal society"annoys me a bit, let's face it, if girls in commercials and stupid music videos were replaced by men, that would still be sexism to me and I don't like the bad -ism words. Anyway, you can find a poster of the Cherrydolls and a boy one on the other side so that makes up for it. This fanzine reminds me of some punk/emo ones in which you can read about more than music, which is often a good thing... so you should order your copy now before it's too late. Moreover, it comes out with a great DIY compilation CD called CHERRYFUCK COMP. Vol.1 with mostly unreleased tracks from bands like CANDYASS, PRETTY SUICIDE, SPARKLING BOMBS, JENNYFER STAR, MRS.WHORE, The SCARECROWS, NINJA DOLLS, SWINDLE-A-GO-GO and let me tell you that it really rocks and that it is the perfect soundtrack for the reading of this fanzine since this is all about glam, bubblegum, pink, trashy collages, angry girls and rock'n'roll.
